A Day In Chinatown

OK folks, we finally have that trip to Chinatown! Wednesday, August 26th we have a 36 passenger delux motor coach from Pure Luxury Transporation to take us to Chinatown. The motor coach will depart from the Berger Lot at 8:30 am and arrive back at 4:30 pm. There will be a lot of walking with hills and stairs as well as periods of standing so please take that into consideration.

Upon arrival at about 10:00 am, we will visit the Chinese Historical Society of America Museum . https://chsa.org

Lunch and shopping is on your own, then at 1:45 PM we have a tour of the Showgirl Magic Museum, personally narrated by Cynthia "Empress" Yee, former Miss Chinatown and founder of the Grant Avenue Follies. https://www.theclarionsf.org/showgirl-magic-museum

The cost per person for the trip including the CHSA museum and Showgirl Magic Museum is $95.00 round trip. Lunch and shopping will be on your own. 36 tickets will go on sale July 1

We recommend that you watch this 50 minute video on YouTube featuring Cynthia "Empress" Yee. On the video she discusses the history of Chinatown and it's like a walking tour. She also talks about the Showgirl Museum and the Grant Avenue Follies. She graciously offered to open the Showgirl Museum for us with a personal tour.
