About the event

Due to the fact that this restaruant is closed on Wednesday, we're going on Friday this time. You are in for a real treat of fresh farm to table vegetables. The vegetarian Jyun Kang restaurant on the grounds is cash only and it will be on one bill as usual. Bring enough cash to cover the cost of your food and drink plus 30% for tax and tip.

Drive time from Berger is 1 hour and 15 minutes and we will all meet at 8:45 AM Friday 4/25 at the Berger lot nearest the Berger Bldg. and we will depart at 9:00 AM sharp. We should arrive at the city of 10,000 Buddhas by 10:15 am for a self guided tour of the grounds and temple with lunch at 11:30 AM.

The city of 10,000 Buddhas is an international Buddhist community and monastary on 488 acres in Talmage. It was originally the Mendocino State Hospital, founded in 1889 and looks similar to the Sonoma Development Center in Glen Ellen. Enjoy the many peacocks who wander the grounds.
