About the event
This free workshop is limited to 32 participants. Paper and scissors are provided.
Our good friend and supporter Sensei Henry Kaku is recognized as bein g a master of Origami. "Sensei" is a Japanese word for Teacher.
Origami is the Japanese art of paper folding. Origami was originally used to decorate shrines and temples, but today it's a fun activity for people of all ages. One of the most popular folds is the crane, which has become a symbol of peace. Henry has been practicing Origami for as long as he can remember, picking it up as a young boy in Japan. He teaches Origami at community events, schools, and cultural festivals. His quickest origami fold is the classic crane, which he can fold in a mere 40 seconds!
